Reimagining real estate; architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC); and infrastructure through the power of AI, digital, and design

Alex leads McKinsey’s work in using digital, analytics, and design to improve the real estate sector globally and drive meaningful value from real assets. He has a deep passion for using technology to transform the built environment and how people interact with it.

He works with leading real estate developers, investors, owners, operators, architecture and engineering firms, and proptech and contech companies on innovation and digital strategy, new business and product building, advanced analytics, experience and brand strategy, digital transformation, and operating model redesign. Alex also has shaped McKinsey’s approach to using the disruptive power of AI—including gen AI—to create tangible business value in the sector.

  • crafting the 5-year enterprise growth strategy for a major luxury hospitality company seeking to expand its brand and enter new business lines
  • helping create a new digital and physical hybrid product for a major architecture, engineering, and construction firm. The product uses IoT and space-based data as well as materials and construction data to shape the design and build of built environments

  • developing a new, digitally enabled property management business for a megaproject developer that encompasses residential, recreation, and hospitality
