Andrea specializes in serving large institutions on technology transformations. He also leads the firm’s work with technology providers in Europe, and the work on life sciences and healthcare in the Mediterranean region.
In his work, Andrea brings his passion for technology and his extensive international experience to help established companies use technology to improve their business performance. He works with senior executives to think beyond “one-off” IT projects focused on a specific business need, to bring technological transformation that enables the creation of new value. He helps companies make this shift by supporting them through capability building and platform modernization while bringing a culture of software engineering, and using data and analytics to improve operations and products.
He also works with technology executives on strategic efforts, such as increasing the efficiency of the IT function and maximizing the value created by investments in technology.

- leading a large technology transformation for a top pharmaco, addressing topics such as cloud, ERP transition, operating model transformation, talent strategy
- supporting a leading technology vendor in a sales acceleration program for SMEs in Europe
- leading an IT strategy and operating-model redesign for a large European institution, with a strong focus on agile-at-scale and DevOps
- supporting the core-systems modernization strategy and target IT-architecture design for a large universal bank in Western Europe
- helping a major European bank undergo IT-infrastructure sourcing optimization, including large outsourcing and offshoring deals
- designed the data center and hosting strategies for a Western European bank.
Andrea has recently contributed to McKinsey publications on several topics, including: the role of technology on decarbonization, investments in the datacenter space, the role of cloud in life sciences.
