Leads McKinsey’s Banking Practice in Australia and New Zealand, counseling senior executives on strategy, acquisitions, divestitures, and transaction due diligence

Ben serves the leaders of global banking and financial institutions and many of the world’s top investors and shareholders during periods of intense strategic, regulatory, and technology-driven disruption.

He is also a leader in our global Private Capital Practice, where he counsels executives on M&A topics spanning acquisitions, divestitures, strategy, dealmaking, and integration as they seek to realize the full potential of transactions and investments.

Most recently, Ben has led our work on reinvigorating productivity growth in Australia. In collaboration with the McKinsey Global Institute (MGI), he has also led our work on Asia’s evolving “corporate ecosystems” as part of the firm’s research series on the Future of Asia.

Prior to joining McKinsey, Ben was a principal at a global management consulting firm, based in San Francisco and Sydney, and senior vice president of investment banking at Macquarie Group, based in New York.

Ben previously served as a non-executive director of Mental Health First Aid Australia and board observer for The Black Dog Institute in Australia.
