Holger is the coleader of McKinsey's global data initiatives. He assists organizations in rapidly implementing transformations, achieving groundbreaking levels of adoption and impact. Serving companies in all industries, he works with clients to solve business-critical issues, creating positive impacts and establishing defendable barriers of competitive advantage. He primarily focuses on banking, consumer, and retail industries.
Holger and his teams leverage the power of data and analytics to help companies identify and seize better business opportunities. By collaborating with clients, Holger aids companies in developing the skills, mindsets, and capabilities necessary for a long-term performance shift. Together, they work to achieve scalable and sustainable impact through transformed customer experiences, enhanced supply-chain efficiency, improved sustainability and nature goals, superior risk management and regulatory compliance, and increased resilience.
In addition to his client work, Holger is a frequent author and thought leader on the cutting-edge uses of data and AI. He and his teams are core contributors to McKinsey's foundational research efforts, particularly in the arena of data and risk and regulatory matters. They often collaborate with industry associations such as the Institute of International Finance and other large industry working groups. Holger also convenes executive forums on data and AI, digital risk, and resilience. He is a regular speaker at industry events, including RiskMinds International and the G-20Y Association.
Before joining McKinsey, Holger was a theoretical physicist investigating the behavior of DNA aggregates in different conditions.
