Jan leads our transaction work in Europe, the Middle East, and Africa as part of McKinsey’s Strategy & Corporate Finance Practice.
Examples of his recent client work include the following:
- carve-out and subsequent IPO of a large-scale Western European energy utility
- end-to-end divestiture of a global high-tech corporation including strategic portfolio review, operational carve-out, and divestiture support
- structuring the joint venture of a clean tech company and an advanced-industry conglomerate
- performing market scans and due diligence, focusing on industry development, competitive positioning, and business models
Before joining McKinsey, Jan worked for four years as a lawyer in the M&A department of the international law firm Shearman & Sterling LLP. He joined McKinsey in 2007.
