Joëlle is a partner based in McKinsey’s New York office where she is a leader of our apparel, fashion, and luxury sector in North America. Having led work in these categories at McKinsey for almost three years, Joëlle has deep expertise in the fashion, luxury, footwear and sportswear, and watch and jewelry industries. She held C-suite roles in the industry before joining the firm.

Her focus is on growth and distribution strategy, customer experience, international expansion, commercial transformation, and M&A.

Examples of Joëlle’s recent work include:

  • supporting an international growth strategy for a Latin American fashion brand launching in the US
  • executing a full commercial transformation for a premium global apparel fiber brand
  • conducting due diligence for various assets in fashion and footwear, which leading consumer private equity firms reviewed

Joëlle started her career in financial audit and transaction services at Deloitte and E&Y. She then became a consultant at McKinsey from 2000 to 2003, returning in 2021. Before her return to McKinsey, she served as the global president of Wolverine Boston Group (Sperry, Saucony, Keds) and as president and CEO of Lacoste in the Americas. Before that, she was the CEO of Royal Quartz, the leading French luxury watch and jewelry retailer.

Joëlle also most recently served as Independent Board Director at ECCO USA, a leading footwear company, and is a member of the Business Council of the Central Park Conservancy in New York.
