Helps oil and gas clients achieve high-impact performance transformations in operations excellence, lean, capability building, facility reliability, cost optimization, well and reservoir management, and contracting and procurement

Otto is a partner in McKinsey’s Amsterdam office and the Global CEO of the Petroleum Asset Excellence (PAX), focused on the operational improvement and turnaround of upstream and downstream oil & gas assets.

Within McKinsey, Otto leads our work in upstream oil and gas operations globally.

Among his client projects, Otto has advised a mid-sized oil company on shaping and delivering a company-wide improvement program to energize its employees, led our work for an independent undergoing a holistic performance transformation across all its North Sea platforms, and helped an independent's African subsidiary to launch a turnaround program in its major fields and across all support functions.

Other projects have involved improving well and reservoir management processes at a Middle Eastern national oil company to reverse a production decline and advising an international oil company on a global program to improve procurement and reduce the total cost of ownership in priority spending categories.

Outside McKinsey, Otto serves on the board of Social Enterprise NL, an organization that seeks to connect, support, and grow social enterprises.
