Ramesh has extensive experience working on a broad range of organizational change-related topics in a variety of industries, including high-tech, healthcare, banking, and industrial companies. Ramesh also possesses considerable expertise in merger management, organizational design, talent and leadership development, performance management, and capability building. In addition to serving clients on these topics, Ramesh works closely with McKinsey’s internal leadership and professional development programs. Ramesh is also the Dean of the Bower Forum, McKinsey’s program for CEO learning. He is a co-author of the bestselling book, The Journey of Leadership.

His recent client work includes:

  • designing and implementing a large leadership development program at a leading healthcare company. A key element of this project was finding the right balance between their long-term values and near-term performance
  • helping a leading industrial company become a low-cost producer, and redesigning this organization to become more customer-focused
  • assessing the ability of a top-10 high-tech company to create a global organization, including attracting diverse talent and pursuing opportunities in unfamiliar markets
  • supporting the Post Merger Management program at a high-growth healthcare services company. A key element of this program was developing a new customer-oriented, high-performance culture
  • leading a performance improvement program at a leading hospitality company, the objectives of which were to get near-term savings and build a culture of continuous improvement in the institution
  • helping two mid-sized PE owned healthcare companies on a rapid integration effort
  • leading a talent and HR transformation at a top-10 bank

Ramesh Srinivasan joined McKinsey & Company in 1994, having spent the first 11 years of his tenure with the firm in India, and the last 11 years in New York. Ramesh is actively involved in education: he is a trustee on the Board of Akanksha—a leading non-profit institution in India that helps provide funding for educational services to underprivileged children—and an advisor to Teach For India.
