Tony is a leader in McKinsey’s Operations Practice. He also leads the firm’s medical-device-operations work, providing executives with strategic guidance on a wide range of operations issues, including operations-performance improvement, lean manufacturing, global-network optimization, make versus buy, and digital manufacturing.
Tony's clients are typically industry leaders that are driving best practice in operations. He has particular expertise in highly regulated industries, such as medical devices, advanced industries, pharmaceuticals, and consumer packaged goods. Since joining McKinsey, Tony has led diagnostics and manufacturing-improvement programs at more than 170 plants globally. He helps companies scale and sustain the impact of transformations by building skills and capabilities within their teams.
Prior to joining McKinsey, Tony worked for high-tech, metal-forming, and plastics companies, with responsibilities in manufacturing, production planning, and purchasing. He is a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Leaders for Global Operations program. Tony is a regular guest lecturer at MIT and Northwestern University on operations strategy and the future of manufacturing.
Active in communities outside of client work, Tony is a member of multiple advisory boards, including that of Northwestern University’s industrial-engineering department and the MIT Leaders for Global Operations alumni board.
