Travis serves clients across a spectrum of industries, including advanced-industrial manufacturing, logistics and distribution, retail, consumer products, and hospitality. His deepest expertise lies in activating transformational change within the organizations he serves. He has led more than 20 large-scale transformation efforts, ranging from merger integrations to large-scale growth and productivity programs. Examples of his work include:

  • supporting a large grocery store company on a multi-year journey to nearly double top-line and bottom-line performance through a variety of growth and productivity initiatives, including building world-class tools and capabilities to help sustain the performance trajectory
  • developing a holistic performance transformation of a North American class 1 railroad, helping our client achieve all-time best and industry-leading performance across productivity, safety, and customer experience measures
  • developing the commercialization of the non-classified product portfolio for a global aerospace and defense company, including the evaluation of more than 50 technologies and numerous potential markets
  • supporting a large-scale cost transformation for a Fortune 200 logistics company, covering capital equipment, front-line operations, procurement and supply chain, and overhead costs. This client is operating at all-time best productivity levels today

Inside the firm, Travis leads a special initiative to transform McKinsey through the implementation of generative AI. He also serves on our Senior Partner Committee which focuses on the development of our senior partners.

Travis serves on the Dean’s Council for the McCombs School of Business at the University of Texas at Austin.
